FAQ — Wishing Star Holiday Lighting | Miami

Question 1

How does the installation process work?

Accepted Answer

It starts with a free, no-obligation consultation where we visit your property, discuss your vision, and design a custom lighting plan. Once you approve the design and schedule, our crew arrives on the agreed date, installs everything with care, and does a full walkthrough with you before we leave. The whole process is hands-off for you.

Question 2

How long does installation take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential installations are completed in 2–6 hours depending on the size and complexity of the display. Large estates or commercial properties may take a full day. We'll give you a time estimate during your consultation so you can plan accordingly.

Question 3

When should I book my installation?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking as early as October to secure your preferred installation date. November slots fill up quickly, and December availability is very limited. Early Bird pricing is available for bookings made before November 1st — so the sooner you reach out, the better.

Question 4

Do I need to be home during the installation?

Accepted Answer

We ask that someone be available at the start and end of the installation — to walk through the design with our crew and to approve the finished display. You don't need to be present the entire time, though you're welcome to be.

Question 5

Will your crew damage my roof, gutters, or landscaping?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. We use professional-grade clips and mounting hardware specifically designed to protect your home's surfaces. Our crew is trained to work carefully around gutters, rooflines, and landscaping. We leave your property exactly as we found it — just a lot more beautiful.

Question 6

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Wishing Star Holiday Lighting is fully licensed and carries comprehensive liability insurance. You're completely protected throughout the entire process — from installation through removal.

Question 7

How much does holiday lighting installation cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on the size of your property, the complexity of the design, and the package you choose. Our packages start with the Pathway & Roofline package for smaller properties and go up to our Signature Brilliance package for full-property coverage. We provide a detailed, itemized quote after your free consultation — no surprises.

Question 8

What's included in the price?

Accepted Answer

All of our packages include custom design consultation, professional installation, commercial-grade LED lighting and décor, a mid-season check-in, and post-season removal and storage. You don't purchase the lights — we supply, install, maintain, and store everything. You just enjoy the display.

Question 9

Do I own the lights after installation?

Accepted Answer

No — and that's actually a benefit. We supply all lighting and décor as part of our service. This means you get commercial-grade equipment that's far superior to retail options, and you never have to worry about storing, replacing, or upgrading your lights. We handle all of that.

Question 10

Is there an Early Bird discount?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We offer special Early Bird pricing for customers who book before November 1st. Slots are limited, so we encourage you to reach out as early as possible to lock in the best rate and your preferred installation date.

Question 11

Do you offer commercial pricing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with businesses, HOAs, hotels, restaurants, and office complexes throughout Miami. Commercial projects are quoted individually based on scope. Contact us for a custom commercial proposal.

Question 12

What happens if a light goes out or something gets damaged?

Accepted Answer

We include a mid-season check-in with every package to inspect your display and replace any bulbs or sections that need attention. If something comes up between visits — a storm, a bulb outage, anything — just give us a call and we'll come out to fix it promptly.

Question 13

How do the lights hold up in Miami's weather?

Accepted Answer

All of our lighting is commercial-grade and rated for outdoor use, including heat, humidity, and rain. We've been installing in South Florida for over 10 years and our equipment is specifically selected to perform in Miami's tropical climate.

Question 14

When do you take the lights down?

Accepted Answer

Removal is scheduled after the holiday season — typically in January. We'll coordinate a removal date with you in advance. Our crew removes all lighting, décor, and hardware, and stores everything until the following season.

Question 15

Do I need to do anything to maintain the lights?

Accepted Answer

Nothing at all. That's the whole point of our service. We handle design, installation, mid-season maintenance, and removal. Your only job is to flip the switch and enjoy the display.

Question 16

What is the donate-a-tree program?

Accepted Answer

With every holiday lighting installation we complete, Wishing Star donates a Christmas tree to a child in foster care. It's our way of spreading the magic of the season to children who might not otherwise experience it. When you choose Wishing Star, your installation directly makes that happen.

Question 17

How does the donation work?

Accepted Answer

For every installation completed, we purchase and donate a Christmas tree — fully decorated — to a child in the foster care system in Miami-Dade County. We partner with local organizations to ensure the trees reach children who need them most.

Question 18

Can I get confirmation that a tree was donated in my name?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After your installation is complete, we'll send you a confirmation that a tree has been donated on behalf of your household or business. It's a small thing, but we think it's worth celebrating.

Question 19

Can I donate additional trees?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. If you'd like to donate more than one tree, just let us know when you book your installation. We'll make it happen and include all donations in your confirmation.
